Privacy policy

This page explains which personal data is processed when you use nearbycx.com, why, and what your rights are. We aim to keep it simple and clear.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is Nearby CX, [legal form, address and registration number to be completed]. For any question about your data: contact@nearbycx.com.
2. What data, and what for?
- Contact form. Your name, email address and message, in order to reply to your request (introduction, demo, quote). Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering enquiries.
- Live chat. If you choose to chat with our team, your messages are exchanged through the Crisp chat service, which only loads at your request (click on "Chat with us"). Depending on the conversation, we may receive your name or email address if you provide them, as well as technical information about your visit (country, browser, page viewed). Please do not enter sensitive information (banking details, health data, passwords…). Legal basis: your request, when you open the chat.
- Technical data. Like any website, our hosting provider records technical logs (IP address, date, pages requested) to keep the service secure and running.
3. Cookies and local storage
By default, we only use strictly necessary items: a flag in your browser remembering that you have read the information banner. We use no advertising cookies and no analytics tools. The site's fonts are hosted on the site itself. The live chat is an exception: the Crisp service is only loaded if you click "Chat with us". It may then set its own cookies, needed for it to work (for example to retrieve your conversation). Your choice is remembered in your browser; you can clear it by deleting the site's data.
4. Who receives your data?
Only the people at Nearby CX in charge of handling your request, and our technical providers: Netlify (website hosting and form reception) and Crisp (live chat, only if you use it). We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising.
5. Transfers outside the European Union
Some of our providers are located outside the European Union, notably in the United States. These transfers are covered by the safeguards provided for by the GDPR (for example standard contractual clauses).
6. How long do we keep your data?
Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your request, then for [period to be completed, for example 12 months] to follow up on the business relationship, unless you become a client. Live chat conversations are kept in the Crisp tool for as long as needed to follow up your request, then deleted or anonymised [period to be completed].
7. Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure, restriction of or objection to its processing, and its portability. Write to us at contact@nearbycx.com; we reply within one month. If you believe your rights are not being respected, you may lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and access to the messages we receive is limited to those who need it. For our clients, data processing is governed by a Data Processing Agreement (DPA), available on request.
9. Updates
We may update this page; the date of the latest update is shown at the top.
